SHOUGANG HIERRO PERU S.A.A. is an iron ore mining company owned entirely by the Chinese SHOUGANG GROUP since January 1, 1993, which took over the management and the operations of open-pit Mining. Beneficiation Plants, Pelletizing Plant and Auxiliary Services thereafter.
The head office of Shougang Hierro Peru S.A.A. is located in Lima at av. Republica de Chile 262 LIMA-11 PERU.
Main activities being developed in the head office are performed by the general manager's office, material department, which is integrated by the commercial and logistics offices, financial department and public relations.

The Mine and Beneficiation Plants are located in a desert area on the coast of Peru at 525 Km S.S.E. of Lima the capital city.
The Mining and Beneficiation installations are situated within a triangle shape area, the locations of which are:
- The Marcona Mines and Facilities are located on a plateau 800 mt above sea level, at 14 Km from the Pacific Ocean.
- The Beneficiation complex and the port are located in the bay of San Nicolas.
- The Administrative Offices, housing facilities for company workers and other facilities are located in the town bay of San Juan.
The Mine and San Nicolas are connected by a 15.3 Km belt conveyor with a capacity of 2,000 L T/Hour.
The three units are connected by roads: 25 Km long from Mine to town of San Juan and 14 Km from San Juan to San Nicolas.
